#174 Iver Johnson M1 Carbine, caliber .30 short carbine

The .30 short carbine was invented by Iver Johnson to circumvent French law for sales in France. A number of these still
rewmain in use in France. The .30 short cartridges was ever so slightly shorter than .30 carbine. The ammo was manufactured
for export to France for a short time by someone you may have heard of: Bill Ricca. The only difference between this
carbine and those in .30 carbine is a slightly shorter chamber for the slightly shorter cartridge. For anyone interested,
a finish reamer can easily alter these to .30 carbine.

These were manufactured by Iver Johnson during their time in Arkansas. This one includes the sling, oiler, and magazine. All
parts are original Iver Johnson.

     Price: SOLD

#130 National Ordnance M1 Carbine, caliber .30 carbine

handle absent a slide stop hole for the slide stop retention pin. The exception is the trigger housing is aluminum and was
manufactured by Plainfield Machine. Includes the sling, oiler, and a magazine.

#162 Global Arms M1 Carbine Receiver s/n 292

We haven't figured out who Global Arms was but their receivers were manufactured by AMPCO. Probably acquired in response to the ad for carbine receivers AMPCO placed in Shotgun News in 1960.
Despite it's appearance due to its lack of bluing this receiver was purchased by Larry as a fully functional firearm. Its Millville Ordnance barrel was scrapped as unsafe. Reproduction rear sight is included.

#231 Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Receiver - .30 Short - s/n FF11687

Iver Johnson manufactured an unknown number of carbines in .30 carbine short caliber for export to France. The only difference from the .30 caliber carbines was the barrel chamber was
reamed short to prevent the use of the .30 carbine cartridge in compliance with French laws at the time. This receiver appears to have been completed but hasn't been tested for use as a firearm.
