Hello from a Carbine owner in the UK!
I wonder if I could have opinions on the attached Flip Sight
The base and Leaf is milled - marked 'S' on left side and 'UI' on the other
I can't find any reference to UI in my books
Any opinions gratefully received

Thank you everyone for your replies - looking at the 'S' mark zoomed in you can see where the engraving tool starts and stops. It does make you wonder why somebody would produce a fake with a mark that never existed - unless it was meant to identify it as a reproduction in the first place?

That “UI” looks the same as what you’d see on a type 1 barrel band.
