Help, confused.  My carbine IBM serial 3728701 has an "SI-B" marked front sight.
These are stamped and either braised together, or spot welded.
Carbine newsletter #329 describes these sights are brazed for IBM carbines like mine.
but mine has two round depressions, one each side of the stake pin.
so it appears that my sight was spot welded together.
Is it a correct sight part for my carbine. the rest of rifle is correct.

Looks like the one on my I.B.M.  There is an I.B.M. in featured carbines if you want to compare.

It looks like you have the correct front sight for your carbine. So far, all I.B.M. front sights I've been able to find that are marked "SI-B" appear to be fabricated the same as yours. There's another one for sale now on Ebay that's just like it.
