Hi! a French fellow sent me pictures of an M1A1 stock, 1st type, circled P. Not an original, as you can see, with wrong rivets and leather, but I am focusing on a marking…There is a boxed P on the right, and just aside, a boxed marking looking like SSA. But a bit weird, the the S don’t look alike, and the A is a bit thin to me(maybe not an A?) Any idea? Ever seen? Ever seen these rivets(that might help?)     |

I suspect there is another A lightly stamped. I have seen C SAA and not sure if it had periods, and S S.A.A. These are from San Antonio Arsenal in Texas. I would guess the P in box is theirs also

New pictural, and you are probably right, we dont ses the last A but we can ses the box is wide enough for that.
We can see that the first A is bigger

Is the Flip sight's right base marked W-S'G' ?
I'd look for markings on the Leaf also. If real, A hard to come by Rear Sight..... and pricey Charlie-P777
