Hello all.
I am a new member and have a Saginaw mfg. carbine, serial # 3465143. I am looking for an appropriate stock to replace the current unmarked stock that is on it. I noted one on eBay that is marked Trimble TN and 53 in the sling well. It is also marked 5574381on the left side, fwd of the sling well. On the right side of the butt area, it is marked WRA and GHD. The cartouche is not legible. Would this be Trimble stock be more appropriate for my carbine? Thank you.

No, it won’t. This stock was originally for a Winchester(WRA-GHD), and used in a foreign army, probably Israel as the SN -also a Winchester SN- is stamped on the left

Trimble was for NPM. what you are seeing as 53 I believe is a RSG, which would have been a transfer to Saginaw at grand rapids as it is absent any additional numbers or letters. If that WRA/GHD is legit then it would mean it was somehow a transfer to Winchester. |

Looks like a 153 on the back side of the sling well to me.

I requested more pictures and noted that it also has a "U" on the bottom of the pistol grip.

I seen this late last night. Searched Ebay and found it. Was going to post the same pic Wayne has but figured it would have to be resized.... so that ended that.
I'd like to see under the butt plate to see if it has 1 hole like TRIMBLE made for NPM and some SG's. So: Is the TRIMBLE TN stamp real? It looks real. This would be a 1st for me seeing a TRIMBLE to WRA.... IF... the WRA / GHD and CC are real. Also a first seeing the number, in this case 153 stamped where it is. Did notice the area the Recoil Plate would seat is pretty much wasted and not sure if the Cross bridge is Fully Intact. Interesting stock either way. I roamed all Carbine stock listings looking for a Saginaw version on Ebay and GB today, finding No Results. @Yankee7985, Post more information about your Carbine, maybe add some pictures. Has it been thru a Rebuild? Where you could use a stock for a Saginaw with a rebuild stamp on it. Might consider putting up a WTB listing for the type stock your looking for. Many here are setting on extras. BTW: Welcome to the Forum, ![]() Charlie-P777

It was manufactured by Saginaw (SG) and has several SG parts on it. I have purchased SG parts to replace some of the non-SG parts. So far, I have replaced the butt plate, recoil plate, firing pin, trigger and rear sight. The previous owner damaged the rear sight, beyond repair. It has a SG marked trigger housing too.

I missed the numbers at the back wall of sling well
Look at the slide well straight down from Trimble TN. I see RSG Also look at the forward profile. Looks legit TN to me. |

Agree looks legit TRIMBLE / TN but I've zoomed in and out and can't see a RSG.
More concerned about the rotted out Recoil Plate seat. Better stocks out there..... IMO Charlie-P777
