I have an M1 that I can’t make out manufacturer, the stamping is very poor. I am 100% sure that it is Quality HMC after comparing to all other makers marks. But the serial number does not align with the manufacturer if I am rite.  The rifle I have has a six digit serial number, which would indicate that I have an Inland Division rifle. Quality HMC has a seven digit serial number from what I have found on the web.  Also this may help identify, the slide spring has a separate tube that it goes into. Thanks for any info.  Could someone tell me how to post pictures?

if you are using an apple device

PC device

Inland did salvage receivers with runout by converting to a springtube receiver.
Pics of both sides of the receiver would confirm this as well as the front ring markings.

front ring is the area in front of the bolt, you would have to retract the slide to see the markings, However your receiver appears to be marked Quality H.M.C.
I would need a very good picture to determine if it was an un-serialized receiver that someone added a number to, or if the original serial was buffed off.
The serial number is not consistent with any of the USGI manufactures
