Working on data sheets, three of my carbines have Winchester barrels. On the right side above the gas cylinder one has an ord bomb, the other two just have circles, I am assuming these are just light strikes from the ord bomb stamp where the flame portion is not showing?? Am I correct with this assumption

I have heard light strikes for similar circles on other parts. Let's see what other say about these in particular.

Have seen varying strikes on Winch gas cylinders. Remember a long discussion about one in particular but haven't been able to find it. Think it was also talked about in one of the newsletters.
