With No Ordnance bomb on the Trigger guard, this is an IBM trigger guard.  The Small bomb would be on the bow the protects the trigger.

So far I haven't been able to find the small bomb on the trigger guard, at least, on the outside of the trigger guard.

Noticed in the photos what appeared to be a Broad Arrow and 1-64 on the Barrel.  Is this a Dutch police marks or are British proof marks on the Carbine also?

It is not a broad arrow mark, it is the Dutch artillerie inrichtingen AI mark. They overhaulend many Dutch government carbines. Difficult to find one here without this marking and almost all have 1964 dates, the time of the New Guinea war

2 of my uncles served in the Dutch New Guinean war, one in the airforce and the other one was a sniper with a Garand sniper rifle. 2 local guys assisted him for security reasons, and they carried .30M1s. They often went out for hunting wild boar at the beaches. Then the whole camp had nice wild boar for dinner

Thank you Patrick, you solved a long standing mystery.

Here's two examples. The second one is one of the carbines in the Larry Ruth Collection that's still available.
