Hey guys.
I posted a question about Inland barrels missing month codes in '44. This is that particular carbine, my friend's who got it from his 83-year-old dad. (Hey I'm 61 so it's not really old!)

Anyway I'm just documenting the gun for fun since my buddy would like to know more about it. From the very brief visit to my buddy's shop when we were primarily working on my truck, we took a few snaps and I wrote some stuff down.

Here's the notes first, in case the pics are troublesome. Just looking for any notices or considerations here. Thank you!

  • Inland MFG DIV General Motors 44 marked barrel.
  • Receiver marked 6,344,865
  • Stock AX/AAD double-stamped postwar rearsenal/rework codes (left side)
  • bayonet lug/barrel band JM stamped
  • stamped steel trigger guard EB stamped, paddle safety (lever)
  • later style M mag release
  • round bolt
  • AME or AMB hammer
  • 2-rivet handguard no markings clearly present (maybe an IO?)
  • stamped adjustable sight IR CO? stamped
  • slide type L379 not sure if A or B
I have been a member very recently, and don't have lots of practice with the photo sharing.

Yesterday, it worked. Today it is not working. Windows is like that.

Testing my photo sharing out.

OK I'm not getting it right. Will come back later. Family calls.

Check the size of your pictures. If they are too big, they won't load.

Trying out adding photos again. Let's see if I got it.
This is a 44 Inland, no import marks, arsenal rebuild in good condition. I will talk with the 83-year-old original purchaser about it soon.
