Hey ya'll, just joined the Forum after rediscovering my M1 I stored away
some 30 years ago in a long locked steel tool box. I bought it while I
was still in the USAF Reserves (22 years), after spending nearly 3 long
'vacation' years in Nam (70-73) flying fixed wing ground support and
Helo gunships (UH-1C and AH-1E/F's). Feelin' kinda nostalgic, need to take it over to Camp Pendleton, Wilcox Range and shoot it a bit again. I also have one of those goofy looking "funnel" shaped Flash hiders. When we worked with various MEU squads, some carried M1's in thicker jungle /forested assaults, don't remember any of them using the goofy looking flash hider. The muzzle breaks similar to the one I have on one of the pictures below, yes. ![]() ![]() |
