Hello,
I would like to share with you my latest purchase ! a 1943 M1A1 carbine. serial 648 XXX all parts looks original with the right markings except the operating slide marked with a S please let me know your opinion on it            Have a good day

There's a lot of been there done that with your M1A1 and I like that about it. Where's the S stamped on the slide that you think may be unoriginal?

I just sent a FOIA request the other day for info on my M1A1. I suspect it was issued to the Navy. Now I wait for a reply.
