Hello all.
I have a nice Winchester stock on my Carbine and I t has 248 stamped inside.
I’m wondering what the 248 means.

Scroll down to Manufacturer Marks.

It is not known exactly what those marks are but it is probably some form of inspection or accounting from manufacture.
