Never too late to start collecting M1 Carbines. I retired from the AF June2022 and am picking up a couple of hobbies (Cowboy Action Shooting and US Military Firearms). I got my first M1 Carbine the other day. It is a First block of Winchester (122xxxx) that is around 75-80% complete Winchester. I do my own reloading, so it won't be too painful $$ to shoot this weapon. It looks right at home next to its big brother, M1 Garand. I got through the CMP.
I look forward to this site for research and chat.

A friendly heads up re: carbine collecting and as others will confirm, carbinitis is very addictive.  Thank you for your service and welcome to the forum.

Yes, I understand. I would like a Rockolla because the name is cool. An Inland would be nice because they had the first contract. I see now I am infected with the itis... It is happening to me with my Garand's as well. I have a Springfield and an HRA. Now I need the Harvester, Winchester, etc..

Don't worry about the "itis" SMSGT, it's controllable and you'll be OK after a Bandolier or 2 out there in the field somewhere!
