Dave,

Can you provide a picture of the 15 round bottom plate,as well as compare to the T5 plate on the 30r.

does the second AI/M2 30r have the crimp?

As to the logic, you may be on the correct path. I have questioned the T5 listed variation of the IA 15r
The AI/M2 I have seen both T2 and T5. However it is easy to have a plate swapped. Good thing the T5 plates have differences, and why I am collecting pictures.

Scherer Mags is where the fake one came from
here is one post with info on Scherer mags.

there are a few other posts, used the google search at the top of the page and search Scherer for other posts

PS, there are about 10 Scherer 30r carbine mag markings/variations. You have some in your collection.

Here you go, down and dirty. The one on the left is my just-acquired A1/M2 w/T5 baseplate. The center is the T2 stamped A I've had awhile and the one on the right is my A1/M2 15-rounder WITH an A-stamped T2 base plate. I apologize on the 15. I was going by memory instead of bothering to actually check to make sure.

Both 30 have the crimp and are identical except for the base plate. Please let me know if you find anything wrong with any of the base plates.

I am going to be a busy boy checking my various AI and IA mags to see what base plates they have.

Thanks!

I've been following this thread closely to see if there is anything I can contribute. My collection of magazines is modest, but it looks like two of the Autoyre (AI line over/under) examples I have match what you describe in your previous post. The one like you show in your left picture is clearly the same but so lightly struck that the first dot is barely visible. The "I" is clearly broken. The other one I have that matches your picture on the right, but it does not have the chip on the right side of the upper bar. Also, the left side of the lower bar is in better shape. Perhaps it's an earlier strike. Both have the "A" stamped on the base plate. Sorry for the poor quality pics.

Here is a broken I that looks early in the break. I wish the picture was a little clearer, but we get what we can.
