Neat stuff. In picture 5, the locking nubs of the upper mag body appear quite worn/deformed. That could very well be from the added weight/leverage of the longer mag.

The quality of workmanship looks very good.
The only markings are the original manufacture stamps on the back strap. IA on top one and K.I. on lower one.
First time posting a picture so hope it works.

Thanks,
Harry

Curious to know if that mag is reliable, imagine there may be issues with the follower sticking when it is at the joint.

I have not loaded or shot it. I'll be sure to take it to the range next trip!
I just thought it was interesting and a surprise to me it was included with my Bavarian Forestry Police I bought recently.

I'm with Wayne, would like to know if you have any feeding issues with it. I would definitely keep it though, just as a curiosity piece

Just like the one I found on GB nine years ago and shared on the CMP Forum https://forums.thecmp.org/forum/cmp-sales/m1-carbine/174209-mystery-mag

Definitely the weirdest one I've found among the weird magazines I've seen.

Thanks Dnikkor, I knew Harry's mag looked like something I had seen before just couldn't remember where I had seen it.

I took the welded magazine to the range the other day and loaded it with 30 rounds and it functioned perfectly slow fire. Fired two more 15 round mags, also no feeding problems. 25 yards.
Rifle was an Inland Carbine 126516, Inland GM barrel 2-43.
