Commercial M1A1 Stocks: Minelli

This post is one in a series on the commercially manufactured M1A1 stocks. You can view an introduction and overview regarding this post, with additional information and links to the other stocks and their posts, HERE

Minelli Group S.p.A.
Zogno (BG), Italy & Hickory, NC 28602

No retail sales, does not indicate retailers

So far I've seen two versions of what appears to be the same M1A1 stock with only a few differences. The rivets, spanner indents on the bottom of the lower hinge assembly, and two small spanner holes in the bottom of the hinge screw. I assume the metal rivets were used but at some point replaced by the brass rivets. Note the manner in which the rivets on both are staked.

One unique feature only seen with Minelli's M1A1 stocks is their buttplate. It has a single letter on the inside cast when the buttplate was cast. These buttplates occasionally turn up being sold alone. Letters I've seen so far include H, M (or W), and I.

Construction builds. One person's mind and efforts can build, but not like that of two or more.
Destruction destroys. One person's mind and efforts can destroy, but not like that of two or more.
