Hello to all, sorry for my absence, been working out some medical issues. All is well now.

During the past few months I came into possession of a M1 Garand with a serial number that places it’s manufacture date around mid month of January 1942 (4534xx).

The current stock is a cracked in 2 spots “POS”.

I have been looking for a replacement that would fit the correct timeframe “Gilbert H Stewart (GHS) stamp and Large Cartouche.  I found one on “everythingBay” that has the SA/SHM stamp on it (45-47 SA Rebuild) along with a faint GHS stamp to the immediate left on it.

I would appreciate your opinions as to actual or fake. Don’t want to jump in and buy something I can’t eat (big smile)

Very respectively

Very respectfully,
