If it were mine I would clean it up and not change anything on it. I agree an original carbine even in fair condition is worth more to me than a rebuilt one in excellent condition.

I have an Irwin Pedersen carbine with Pedersen receiver, IP trigger housing, and IP stock. The rest of the parts are a mix. I believe most collectors would probably want it even in heavily used mismatched condition. There is a point when rarity can surpass higher condition carbines by other makers.

There are many carbines that are "rarer" but somehow the carbine that was not accepted by ordnance and had their contract revoked, is the most coveted. Wink
