Ordnance publications (ORD 7, 8, 9) SNL B28

   The Ordnance department put out Standard Nomenclature Lists (SNL) of all parts and allotments frequently or as allocations changed.
Many may be familiar that every part had a SNL number, which later changed form and designation over time.
B28, B028 was specific to the M1 carbine

I am trying to put together a few articles on items and would like to compare the SNLs
to complicate matters there were different SNLs based on the level of use

ORD 7 SNL B-28, Organizational Maintenance Allowances
ORD 8 SNL B-28 , Field and Base Maintenance spare parts and equipment
ORD 9 SNL B-28, List of All Service Parts

	Blackfish, Thank you, yes I have the Nicolaus for those I do not have a copy of. I need to fill some gaps for an article. Some info that would be helpful is anyone has any of these. They are all dated and on the first page it states what it supersedes. It also mentions Addendums and or Changes No1 No 2. etc ORD 7 SNL B-28 seems to have replaced the just "SNL B-28" ORD 8 SNL B-28 the earliest mention I find is Nov 4 1944. If anyone has that date or earlier please let me know. I also think there may be gaps in the 8 dates, including addendum and changes, I noted ORD 9 SNL B-28, the earliest mention I find is April 6, 1944.
