Question 2: SAGINAW SG Question 3: U.S. CARBINE CAL. 30 M1. Question 3A: flat top 3 Question 4: wide tang Question 5: no ear Question 6: SG Question 7:No Question 8: UNDERWOOD 9-43 (With flaming bomb under date and "P" proof mark 4"below that) Question 9: round end.

Question 2: Initials above serial number - SG Question 3: Front ring details U.S. CARBINE CAL. 30 MI Question 3a: Flat top 3's in both serial number and CAL. 30 Question 4: Rear tang - wide Question 5: Rear left receiver detail - no ear Question 6: Front and middle left detail - none Question 7: Receiver bottom detail - D (or half struck B) centered over curve Question 8: Barrel manufacturer and date - UNDERWOOD 3-44 P placed 4" from muzzle Question 9: Rear slide cut detail - Round Inland marked high wood stock and Inland marked 2 rivit hand guard. Inland marked Type III trigger group with W marked trigger, sear, and magazine release. Push button safety is marked "EW" Type II flat bolt, extracter and firing pin all with Inland marking. |
