If it were mine I would clean it up and not change anything on it. I agree an original carbine even in fair condition is worth more to me than a rebuilt one in excellent condition.

I have an Irwin Pedersen carbine with Pedersen receiver, IP trigger
housing, and IP stock. The rest of the parts are a mix. I believe most
collectors would probably want it even in heavily used mismatched
condition. There is a point when rarity can surpass higher condition
carbines by other makers.

Not to impugn, as I love them all There are many carbines that are "rarer" but somehow the carbine that was not accepted by ordnance and had their contract revoked, is the most coveted. ![]() |
