   I hope this is where this goes-- New member. Viet Nam Vet, 173rd Airborne Brigade(SEP). I have an M-14 and always wanted a 30 Carbine. A former friend had one to sell. I traded an old pair of hearing aids for it. I think I came out wayyyy ahead. Supposedly was his Dad's from the Korean War. Can't imagine why he wanted to sell it but I'm glad he did.
 National Postal Meter, SN: 1450xxx
 Underwood barrel: 1-43
 Rear sight: I.R.C.O. 7160060
 Fun to shoot, Appears all original but I really don't know. Looking forward to being on this site.

	Welcome to the forum. Rear sight would not be original, would love to see some pictures. BTW, I have a pair of blue-tooth compatible hearing aids that I will gladly trade you for it even without seeing pictures.

	W5USMC You're right, rear sight is not original. Brain F**t there. I new that just from reading posts on this sight. Thanks for the offer on the hearing aids but I also have a new pair so will have to pass,(Like I would really consider it). Will post some pics when I figure out how to.

	Welcome from Wisconsin... Hearing Aids? My first M-1 Garand came from a farmer who got it by trading a manure spreader..LOL
