Made it up today, worked canceled my Saturday (I ain't citching either Big smile)

Carbine price were HIGH HIGH HIGH. 1 guy a bunch of M1A1's he wanted $7500ish a piece for, and a "I-P" he wanted $9500 for Confused

Some others there, but prices were too rich for my blood. I did snag a commercial Plainfield stock in good shape for $50 bucks. I need one for my Plainfield anyway to free up the USGI stock I was using on it because the 1 it came with was missing the rear butt plate.

Picked up 80 rounds of Lake City .30 Carbine for $55 bucks. I'm going shooting tomorrow and that saves me cracking open a case of what I have on hand.

It was crowded to. I toyed with getting a Witness CZ75 clone cheap but figured I have 2 real CZ75b's now, don't need another mouth to feed

I arrived late. I got there around 11. I agree with the prices being too high, but I think you missed the S'G' with a bunch of IP parts for $1500. Although it was a bit on the rough side, it did appear to be all original except for a late adjustable milled rear sight, which looked like it had been there for at least 80 years. It was the best carbine deal in the place. No I didn't buy it. Instead I bought an M11A2 practice AT grenade and a blade marked, M3 Case, bent guard, grooved handle, and it came with a scabbard with the correct M8, short frog. Both are in good to VG condition. I dropped just over 2 bills for the pair.

That's about the time I left. I didn't see that S'G but I was just browsing Carbine prices, I figure 12 is enough unless I win the lottery someday.

The Plainfield stock didn't work out yet. My metal handguard is too short for some reason, I had 2 but gave 1 to someone needing 1 a couple years ago. It'll hold until I get a chance to order something from someplace with them in stock.

Don, stop out at the berea show today.  The fella at the table next to me has a Rockola listed for $2400, Inland for $1200, Underwood for $1500 and a Quality for $1500.  He’s also selling several Garands for $1100 and and over Johnson in 5.7mm.  I happen to know he has room for a deal on them.

I was at Berea today. The prices on the carbines were quite a bit more reasonable. While I had money in my pocket, most of it stayed there. I bought some full moon clips for my 1917 Colt revolver and an amber parachute flare to go with the rifle grenade launchers and practice grenades. There is a small local show next weekend in Mentor that I'm planning on going to. but unless something special jumps out at me there, the money will go into my stock market funds....
