Commercial M1A1 Stocks: Sarco

Over the years Sarco has sold several different commercially manufactured M1A1 stocks. There are a couple things to be aware of with Sarco. First, the M1A1 stocks they depict on their web page includes at least 3 different ones they have sold over time. Versus exactly what they are selling when they have them in stock. 2nd, Sarco sells various M1A1 parts both commercial and original GI, often without identifying which stock they will work with or not work with. Commercial M1A1 parts are not made to GI specs, or any other standard other than what the particular manufacturer decides. Therefore, parts from different commercial manufactures often will not work with the others or GI. This said, they often do have M1A1 parts. I don't know if they are aware there are differences.

Wayne Machine

Wayne Machine is a source used by most of the major U.S. surplus parts retailers (Sarco, Numrich, Apex, Northridge, etc) for manufacturing new commercial versions of various parts. They offer an M1A1 stock on their website, but their website it is not shown and the info on their website is not kept up to date. I suspect the first stock shown below is the one offered by Wayne machine. Good possibility they obtain the wood parts from another source.

This stock below is a real nice looking walnut replica M1A1 stock, sold without any metal parts.
