I used to connect to it but now it won't open for me.

I can still connect to http://uscarbinecal30.com still works for me but it is different.

Reed the 1st link that you posted above was not associated in any way to the Carbine Collector's Club, it was loaded with info that basically mirrored the information from Riesch's book. Think that site owner took it down some time ago. I remember reading about his reasons on the CMP forum. 

The second link that you posted takes to our Club's main page.

Looking at the internet archive's Wayback machine, they last copied it in 2021.
Copyright at the bottom of the main page is 2012.
