Hello! My 8th grader is doing a NC history project on David Marshall Carbine Williams. Other than going to the NC history museum, can anyone help guide us to finding original documentation pertaining to Mr Williams himself, or patents, certificates, or first person accounts, etc. Your assistance is very much appreciated!

There is always the youtube of the famous movie staring Jimmy Stewart, though from what I understand over glorified and inaccuracies.
Our website has some pages up, others up shortly.
try the links at top of that page or site map on side menu. (think all but 1 are good)
there are links about his life, crimes and inventions. With links to newspaper articles and patents.

Cody Museum has many of his works and are greatly credited in those pages.

I would see if your local library can get War Baby by Larry Ruth which has info and some of the patents as well as contributions to the US Carbine Cal 30

Thank you so much! We did watch the movie, but he needs a primary source, so something directly from Williams. We will definitely look for that book, as well!
