Greetings, I am a new member and have a question about my Inland M1 Carbine stock. The carbine seems to be all original except possibly the stock and maybe the front sight protector. Can anyone tell me about the cartouche ?

Rick

The serial number on the stock matches the receiver

The serial # on the left side of the stock are a good indication that the carbine/stock did time in Israel with the IDF. Just a guess but the marking in the circle looks Hebrew to me.
Does the carbine have an import marking?

AC,
Welcome to the Forum.
2 of the pictures didn't load, but the PU in the Slingwell means your stock was made for a Underwood Carbine.

By chance near the side of the Recoil Plate is there a small circle with a number like 50 or 100 in it?
Any remnants of the Original boxed G.H.D. over U.E.F. with Crossed Cannons next to it all in a box on the right side?
Just Curious....

Thx,
Ch-P777

No crossed cannons or letters. I am trying to attach some more pictures but for some reason they are not loading.

It does have Inland next to the serial number on the receiver.
