Different barrel band retainer?

   Would like to know if anyone has an idea of the origin of this barrel band retainer. It is round not flat like the retainers on my other carbines. This retainer is on a SA marked replacement stock that came from the CMP on my postal meter carbine. This carbine was one of the Italian returns.

	CCNL #331 has a pic of eight USGI retaining springs and this doesn't look like any of them. I'm guessing this is an Italian/foreign replacement since it came on an Italian return and it looks to be somewhat shinny and new. Googled for a while trying to find a decent pic of a CMP Italian returned carbine but no luck. Maybe someone else can solve the mystery.
