This morning a member brought a "limited edition" Crosman M1 Full-Auto Air Rifle to my attention on eBay. A quick check showed it can be had for less. It seems they did a run and sold out, but will be available again. Checking Walmart, some local stores have and are priced "not to be restocked" This is a little cheaper than the link above. Get em while you can! A few vids on youtube, here is one |

Haha - Way Cool! I had to have it and ordered mine today. Mid October they said for delivery.
I watched a few of the videos and came up with. Why the hell not!? So I got one. $178 total delivered with 25 CO2 containers and 2,500 bb's. The CO2 does go fast of course with full auto. It should be a fun start for a little play if nothing else. I've lost more than that making bad choices on fake or bad M1 carbine parts several folds over.
Thanks for the share..... |

Man, I told myself I was not going to watch it cuz I knew if I did that it would end up being probably pretty neat and pretty cool and I'll be damned if I didn't watch it anyway and now I'm going to be separated from even more of my money haha

oh yes, BB gun was the very first in my upbringing as well. The cool factor of this is off the charts! When Dan posted it I told myself I'm not going to watch it cuz I'll end up buying it and then you commented that you got one which in turn made me watch it and now I'm going to have to get one haha. Hey lightning, do you mind me asking where you got your deal from? That sounds like a great deal to me. Did you use Dan's link?

Someone bought the one on eBay, I do hope they got it at a good price. I will also point out that the Springfield Armory M1 carbine is more aesthetically pleasing with a sling cut, bayo lug. However I believe only semi auto and almost twice the price. The Crosman has screw holes all over the left side of the stock, no sling cut, but rocks and rolls.

It will never compare to the real thing. I used to own a registered M2. Fun, beyond belief. But then it was also expensive to feed. I finally sold it when someone offered 4 times what I paid for it. Today it would cost 4 times that to replace it. But I did enjoy it while I had it.

Hello all again. Jond41403: I ordered my straight from the Crossman web site. Mine won't be here till mid to late October but excited to get it in that funny way. I'm already without seeing it. Thinking of ways to increase the shaker 25 round mag to 50 rounds. I agree with Smokepole on the no comparison to the real M2. Nothing quite like shooting one for sure. Even with a 15 round mag you can have lots of fun with 3-4 round bursts. This of course is just a BB gun at $178 delivered with my add on of 25 C02 cartridge's and 2,500 bb's. No sales tax or shipping which surprised me. I'm sure all states vary. I agree the holes on the left side are ugly and no sling well. If that was there, then it would interfere with the C02 loading.
It is what it is and I had to have one is my bottom line. It just rates COOL! in my book. I'm just guessing, but I figure maybe 3 bb's per slide action on full auto? My only negative with all the videos is just the 25 round mag shake reload. I want 50 I'm sure it will eat up C02 as well, but I already expect that. Have fun and good luck to any and all that make that small got to have it investment.Almost forgot another possible negative. Trouble with the fun switch staying put. Ha - I'm a lefty and maybe that won't be a problem for me. Lack of a detent? |

Some links to check out So I was at Walmart, and had to pull the trigger. I got out about $20 cheaper than online including the BBs and CO2 @Smokepole, No it does not compare to a real M2, but it is a hoot and brought me back to my summers at the Jersey shore at the arcade spending all my paper route money trying to "shoot out the red star" which never happened. For those that did not have the pleasure, they had these Thompson looking air rifles with a hose to the compressor. The ammo was lead shot. The bore was bigger than the shot making for poor accuracy. However, for the money, it is a hoot to shoot! and far less expensive. I was out the door with a pack of CO2 and 6000 BBs for about $20 less than others here had paid. My son and I set up some targets. Cans, water jugs, boxes etc. He had no clue that it was select fire. After the smiles and some water jug destruction he actually went to SA and spent the next two hours sighting in and making some nice groupings. He found me later because it was not functioning properly, when lead to opening up the BB gun. It was no fault of the unit, My son grabbed a old bottle of BBs that had a hard plastic funnel tip because the Crosman BBs in a similar container did not flow as well. The tip of the container has cracked and introduced the piece into the firing mechanism. To answer some comments and to add a few. Always put a little Pellgun oil on the necks of the cartridges. It helps prevent tears in the seals. The buttstock has the gas chamber running through to the buttplate to load the CO2. Hence no oiler cut or slingwell. The mechanism cannot be easily altered to accept more BBs. You must turn the carbine upside down and horizontal so the rail will fill. You have to pull the feed rail cover forward so the BBs can fall into the rail. If you put muzzle up or down you may not fill the rail. The rail has a section of 3 linked BB shaped feeders on the spring to push the BBs into the mechanism. When the BBs are out this will trip the mechanism and the cocking handle will not move. Think of it a a last round hold open, but in reality it holds it closed (forward) If you rack it you can dry fire, but again it will not cock. The handle moves for every round, so no 3 down the tube at once. The fore-stock holds the extra BBs to shake into place. With 300 BBs it was not easy to empty when looking into the malfunction or unloading for storage. We used a NyQuil medicine type measure and found it easier to pour a half measure of BBs into the hopper, maybe 150 at a time. My son suggested filling the screw holes with some brown crayon to make it look better. I will hold off just in case. I had thought about pouring a resin 30r faux mag for esthetics, but he had no interest. Hopefully soon I can get him to the range to shoot a Port Clinton BB gun! (see link above)

Thanks Dan. Great info in many area's I had in question. It does sound like it was worth the purchase? I had seen a video on the use of the pellet-gun oil or lube on the tips as well as the rear O-ring? All based on taking care of usage and the function. It is nice to get a full review on one from a forum member instead of the normal sales pitch found online. Your mention that the mechanism cannot be easily modified for more in the mag still gives me hope. Never say never, but I agree with your findings. You must follow the rules of a level upside-down shake to get the full 25 in the mag. Many videos missed that need and came up short. The tilt factor came into play several times for short loads. My Walmart had zip. So I wait for mine. It looks like fun to me! Thanks again for the great review.
