Invaders From Mars (1953)

Many M1 Carbines and Stars we'd remember like Leave it to Beaver's Mom, Doc from Gunsmoke, the judge from Perry Mason and Leif Erickson. The boy- Jimmy Hunt is by far the best actor in the film.
If you watch, notice how they swapped in little people when the aliens start tossing bodies around Thumbs Up

Assuming this hasn't already been mentioned, The Twilight Zone episode "The 7th is Made of Phantoms" features a couple carbines. It's available on youtube. A typically great eerie Rod Serling story - about a 1960s Army tank crew on maneuvers in Montana, and they go back in time and die in The Battle of the Little Big Horn. Highly recommended!
