I have a 2.63 import marked Underwood with an Underwood barrel dated 10-49. I looked at the Parts page and some basic Google searches but couldn't readily find manufacturing dates. How long did Underwood and the others continue making barrels after the war?
Thanks

It was a mistake in stamping that should have been 10-43. They also showed up on some Standard Products carbines too.

Because Underwood and Standard Products were not making carbines in October, 1944 (10-44) or later, and the 10-49 barrels are found on original carbines.

if you look at back issue and index section there are two indexes. there was a "spotters Report" early on and then another was an article on the typo and known ranges and manufacturers that had them

Looks like there are 4 newsletters referencing "10-49". I'm on Marty Black's list for a full set of the back issues when they become available. Looking forward to getting them. The searchable index is going to be really helpful.
Thanks
