I am not sure. Here are a few photos. The rod is jumping off the track and I believe it may be due to a worn or chipped off portion as indicated in the following photos. I may send it off to Columbus Machine Works.

have you measured the tab on the op rod to see if it is still in spec? The reason I ask is the area you have shown with damage is a bearing surface. The specifications list tab thickness/0.095"-0.100"and tab width/0.265"-0.030" with a minimum 0.235"and they have listed the tab height/0.320"-0.003" with a minimum 0.310".hth

I have not been able to measure it without the proper equipment, but just eyeballing it, it appears to be worn. I dropped my (hardly fired) M1D rod into this Winchester and it worked perfectly.
