Anyone know if WRA's use of the Type 1 trigger housing pin / with Spring was reported near the 1,070,xxx range ?

Riesch says No after 1,030,xxx... that they went to the Type II with No spring.
I do have a Original issue with Type I @ 1,030,621.

ETA: I haven't seen this members Receiver yet to see if the Lug has the Milled recess / cut for the Type I Pin.

Thx,

Charlie-P777

Anyone with a WRA Type I Variation B Spring tube Receiver (Some call a Type II Spring tube receiver) ?
These just have the single hole drilled completely thru the right slide rail for the Op slide stop pin.

I'm trying to figure out if a Type I Trigger Housing Retaining Pin With Spring was used near the 1,072,xxx range.

The WRA 1,072,xxx I'm looking at has a Type I Pin (Minus the spring) in it now.

But this receiver does not have the milled recess in the right side of the lug.
This Milled Recess found on the Earlier Spring tube receivers was there so the pin would clear the lug during disassembly.

**Attached picture from the CCCF shows the early Mill Cut Lug for use with the Type I with Spring Pin**

Riesch and Ruth say WRA switched over to the Type II Pin in early 1943.
This Carbine was Serial # stamped April 15 of 43, so likely finished in May of 43.

Thinking I'm safe to assume it wasn't issued with a Type I Pin.
Maybe possible a Type I Pin was Modified by removing the Spring and issued that way...
Or this Pin was installed at a later date, just because it worked.

Best I can put together so far. I was asked by a member and wanted to follow through.

Thx,
