does anyone have any thoughts on ammo from Universal Firearms Corporation, West Germany? Markings are NWM 60 7.62X33? I got some from a neighbor who had a crumbling box of 50. It’s in a yellow commercial box. Is this surplus ammo?

Who cares shoot it clean gun like it is corrosive ammo, and you will be fine.
Or send it to me fxstbharley2008@yahoo.com

my question was more about idly wondering if this is police ammunition that was purchased as surplus and repackaged for commercial sale.

NWM ammo was actually made buy the Dutch firm Nederlandsche Wapen & Munitie-fabreik de Kruithoorn (NWM) in s'Hertogenbosch Netherlands who sold the ammo to West Germany. Would imagine the Universal ammo that you have was just repacked West German surplus.
