I searched all my literature - couldn't find answer. Is it legit?

I don't see any sign of wear on your safety. All the Type 1 safeties I've seen have obvious signs of wear. Here's one of mine and it's blued.

Thanks, Jack. This safety came off a carbine that has seen almost no use. Muzzle wear is right at zero. Other signs are almost nil. It could be that the safety really does not have any wear.
