I have been remiss here in not posting all the web page additions, revisions, updates, etc. Frankly, I forgot this thread existed. You will see why in a moment.

What follows below are the web pages changed in the past month. In addition to several still in progress.

I realize our website is still lacking certain information I had hoped to have added well before now. It can give the appearance that there is no work being done on the website. There is only one person authoring, changing, and updating the web pages on all three websites. With the help of others who proof read and check the information for historical accuracy.

I want to give you an idea of what you don't see simply because of the time and focus this requires from me. All that follows is a good example of what one month entails.

Just want you to know the efforts are ongoing. Sorry I'm not more diligent in sharing the changes and additions. Kind of constantly busy doing them. In addition to the research.

Jim

P.S. We have 3 websites with over 300 web pages...and growing

That is a really great web site. Each page is well designed and organized - and chock full of very valuable information. Thanks and kudos to the Webmaster(s).
I like WWII era carbines that look as though they might have seen use in combat - with stock dings & stains and maybe with some field maintenance replacement parts - James

We been working on it for about 2 months. Credit goes to JB for starting the ball rolling with his detailed article in newsletter 357 in January 2010. We didn't want to go into the level of detail he did as the serial number page is intended as a semi quick and easy reference as opposed to a detailed report. JB's article was a research report.

Dan deserves most all credit for working hard to update everything. Me, I'm just the piano player.

Major update and rewrite of the page on U.S. carbines used by the German police in Hessen.

http://www.bavarianm1carbines.com/hessen.html

Armory section on Hessen reorganized in line with the most current info on Hessen. A carbine used by the Hessen Border Police was added.

http://www.bavarianm1carbines.com/Armory.html

Next up is an update on Bremen. Then back to the first web pages for infrared scopes used with the carbines.
