I was going through my albums today and found these pics of an RI marked sear that I have. What's unusual is the hole is *round*, not oblong like it should be, so it wouldn't function properly in a standard M1 trigger housing setup. The sear in question is on the RIGHT (just for comparison I have a normal sear on the LEFT). It appears original and looks like it's seen some use. I don't think it has been welded and re-drilled or anything. At one time I posted it over on CMP forums but no one seemed to know the official story so here goes.

Using hammer follow-through to fire while holding the trigger down, may be somebubba's idea for a simple full auto variant?

Doubt it's "USGI" (machining around the hole looks reground)
