I was hunting for info on Un-Quality carbines and saw this post. I make two who got an Un-Quality from Tiger Imports Ethiopian batch. Mine isn't as nice as yours as I went with the idea of a 'project' carbine and got the lowest priced that listed. Interestingly they said those were all Inlands. Guess they missed the one I got as it was not an Inland :) It had clearly been updated at some point as it had the Type III rear sight, later type safety and bayonet lug. I'm guessing they just didn't take time to look under the sight as you can see the UN and on the other side the Y. The serial number fits those too. Image showing the comma, as well as one of the carbine on the left next to my Inland So I got lucky :)

I'd say you were quite lucky to get an Un-Quality instead of an Inland.
I do believe they state somewhere in their site that all their carbines are post war reworks, so that is to be expected from this batch.

Underwood dated 11-43. The first 2 numbers are barely visible but the 43 is clear. Sorry for the fuzzy image but you can make out the markings

Great bunch of carbines everyone! Wondering where these carbines were stored in Ethiopia. Perhaps Addis Ababa, Asmara or Harar? Nothing yet, just dates. BTW....here's mine.
