From the Larry Ruth Collection An unknown commercial made stock that Larry's note commented "Thompson style" The stock has a detachable rear section. Does anyone have a clue who made this interesting stock for the M1 carbine? |

Whoever designed the pistol grip was clearly inspired by the Stoner line of rifles!

Is the trigger housing cutout shaped for a GI housing or a Universal style?

Good question, I did not take the pictures. I believe a commercial RockOla Firearms sat in it. I will look into it |

I found it in WB 3 pg 1653-1653 "Not much information has been found on these two-piece stock and hand guard shown here except that hey were custom-crafted by a skilled gunsmith, who was probably located in Wisconsin. These were apparently one-offs, inletted by hand to fit a particular trigger housing" There was apparently a article on them in the Gun List magazine, that Larry never found. It then shows pictures of the actual one above and that it "is in the authors collection" and that he had a Universal in it with the rectangular trigger hosing, Bummer! Jim says this one the slide was rubbing the stock and needs some work. Being that it needs work we cannot estimate it based on what others have sold for. So because it needs some modification, we are going to ask $175 on it.
