What stock and handguard marking should a Winchester serial number 653xxxx have?
I have read that the stock for a mid Winchester would be stamped WRA GHD and crossed cannon cartouche and a late Winchester stamped with only crossed cannon cartouche. Also, not sure if handguard should be two or four rivets.

You've basically read correctly, a low wood, crossed cannons only and either a long or short barrel channel. It should also have a four rivet handguard.

John, Thank you. Disappointing news. Winchester with all correct parts except now appears that stock and handguard are incorrect. Purchase of correctly marked parts is probably in the $500.00 range.

No. You could find one for $200 or under. Just be diligent and one will pop up on another Carbine you can buy, swap the stock and resell.
