Just wanting to know if anyone has bought any of the surplus carbine stock sets that J&G Sales has been offering for awhile. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had a look at them on there site and was not very impressed. Being a retired woodworker, I don't think I'd want to tackle trying to restore one of those without seeing it first. You might do better shopping for one at a gun show.

A tough choice buying something site unseen. Pictures help but as Charles said if possible in person is usually better. Some shows have a better chance of seeing a carbine stock than others but usually run into one at a show eventually.
Once bought a bunch of stocks in a lot just for one. The other were Garand stocks, a cracked OI and a FAT stock. Sold most of them at a show a while back. |
