Spotters Report

The IBM article in Newsletter 329 reported that some original appearing carbines had recoil plates marked B.B. or BB. Newsletter 332, page 11, showed an example of a recoil plate marked BB on the bottom, with the letters being widely spaced apart. The photograph compilation shows the recoil plate from NL332 on top and the bottom shows a recoil plate marked B.B. in the front. Both recoil plates were probably made by Berg Manufacturing Company in Chicago for IBM.

It's a post war rearsenal.  It is heavy on the IBM parts though.  36773XX Here are the details:
