Just picked up this can of spam just in case and was wondering if the RA stands for Remington Arms, and the 54 is the year of manufacture?

I'd say the RA is definitely for Remington Arms, as the Remington head stamp is RA, not sure about the 5426 as it could just be a random lot #.
