Bought this Rock-Ola some years ago. It came from Israel and of course has not a lot to do with an original or near original Rock-Ola. But somehow I liked this old beaten-up Carbine and the price was right as well so I purchased it.
The pictures have been taken at at least two different occasions. When I bought it, before I started to clean it, and some just a few weeks ago when I have cleaned it again and started to fill out the carbine sheet.

I have removed some of the painted marks from the stock but kept the marking in Hebrew on the belly of the stock.
It is my only Rock-Ola so far.

any marks in front of rear sight?
I like when a carbine retains its foreign service marks on stock. I have a near perfect long channel Winchester stock that retains the Korean marks which are usually scrubbed off.
I have several Israeli stocks and none have paint. Very neat!

I have included another picture of the rear sight. You can see that something has been removed of the receiver just in front of the recoil plate.

There was a guy on a forum that had a Korean marked stock (Hangul writing), it was very nicely marked - i offered to buy it from him or trade him another stock, and he said no, that it should stay with the gun. Yet he refinished the stock.... I ended up buying a Hangul marked stock off of ebay (if I remember right).

BTW - I am 'used' to the edit and quote being on the bottom of the posting, not the top

I have seen the rear bevel defaced like that to remove a number. Usually on a Norwegian Costal Artillery which would also have K.art mark in front of the  rear sight.
