Good morning and thanks to all for letting me join! Long time lurker actually for quite a few years now.
Enjoy reading all that goes on, the only problem is my recall is terrible. So I read things and can't remember within a day or two. Partly old guy stuff partly medical. At any rate, thankful to be a upright and making steam! :-) , Although, with all I read here, I'm sure I will have very little to offer.
Enjoy all that goes on here and look forward to being a part of the group. I have had a love for M1 carbines for nearly 50 years now. From back in the 70s when they were on every other table at a gun show and 2 or $300 apiece. My reason for finally joining is recently I saw a a post by member "fchaus",, in regards to a carbine he had with a mixed matched hand guard, And it just so happens I was recently given a 2 rivet handguard that may be a little easier to oil up and get it closer to his dark finish,,,,,, I have no use for it myself, other than to throw in the parts box at which up to this point, I do way too much of, with different kinds of stuff! :-) So " fchaus" if you're interested let me know and it is yours free of charge. It was given to me so I would like to pay it forward and get it to a good home where it does some good
Instead of getting lost in a box under the bench. Maybe I can figure out how to post some pictures of it on the thread. Don't get too excited, it is by far not any beauty contest winner, but the price is right! Thanks again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
