In grading my carbines, I sometimes find parts with stamps that don't match those associated with the WWII manufacturers and subs.  To grade these critters, I could really use a reference about those manufacturers that supplied the Army after the War directly or through Springfield Armory.  I also need the identifying marks they used.  Then I can grade the parts as "Post war USGI" implying MIL SPEC or as "commercial" replacements that happen to fit.  Any vector appreciated.  Happy Presidents Day

Clip, the majority of the parts that I believe you are referring to are actually wartime replacement or spares. There are some exceptions. Page down on the "myths" link below to the (Carbine Spare Parts Post WWII) section, where Mr Ricca gives a good explanation. Welcome to the forum.
