Hello - I’m a new member . I started collecting carbines last year. I recently purchased a Saginaw type 2 w Sg barrel. Unfortunately it has a Davidson import stamp. I realize that hurts the overall value for collectors. I don’t plan on selling this one because I’ve been trying to get a SG. What is the general opinion of this rifle with the Davidson stamp? Thanks

Welcome. As for the import mark... The Davidson's I have seen were discreetly marked and not newly refinished. The ones I can't stand to look at are the BLUE SKY marked ones with the large, deep lettering on the side of the barrel near the front. They are often refinished on top of it. Not that the rifle cares, it will shoot as good as it can. I'd say there is less of an import mark stigma these days with all the recent RTI and PW Arms imports hitting the market. RTI and Midway USA moved a lot of em for top $. For your average rifle they usually bring a little less than a non-import in a private sale.
