Proxibid is featuring a Rock-ola carbine marked "Test 7" on the receiver.  Rock-ola attribution is based on the recoil lug marking, as well as the barrel.  Receiver is not marked Rock-ola, and there is no serial number other that the "Test 7" marking.  Any opinions as to how rare or special this carbine is?

I would venture to say there are not many of them out there so probably pretty rare. I’ve never seen one but I’m still relatively new to the hobby so maybe some of the other guys have seen something similar in the past. Says it is a high wood but clearly been cut down. The font is different from anything I’ve seen on carbines. Definitely hand stamped. Curious to hear what some of the more experienced collectors have to say about it.

I remember coming across Rock Ola Test-3 on auction about 10 years ago.
I questioned the roughly stamped TEST 3 marking. I found my answers in  the thread linked below, but had I opened the CC Newsletter sitting unopened on my desk before asking I'd of had no need to ask.
Was CC Newsletter 323, which I believe IIRC covered Test #'s 1, 3, 7 and 9.

Is the round bolt a questionable item on it as well?

maybe was test of low wood--is I-cut stock cut to low wood, the round bolt was 4xxxxxx usage, it also has the short lip thing on side of receiver so is late receiver not a springtube--late featured test gun

Welby,
IIRC None of the RMC Tests were Spring tube.

Wasn't it QHMC that had some handed out without sling cut outs?

Marcus, was on my way back from examining an IP and decided to attend.

Have some questions about what I observed. To ensure accuracy, would like to have them answered from those who know more than I before posting.
