Click on the M1A1 carbine at the top of the page. A new site will open. On the left will be a menu. Start there.

well not a new site, those are the main pages. The forum is an extension of those pages.

What Underwood information are you looking for?

Option 1 – Use the New Search Boxes to Find Content on the Club's Other Websites

There are three new Search Boxes.

One performs a Google Search of http://www.uscarbinecal30.com/" rel="nofollow - USCarbineCal30.com.
One performs a Google Search of http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/" rel="nofollow - M1CarbinesInc.com.
One performs a Google Search of http://www.bavarianm1carbines.com/" rel="nofollow - BavarianM1Carbines.com .

Enter your Search Term(s) and click the appropriate Search Button.

In the example below, I've entered the term Underwood in the USCarbineCal30.com Search Box and clicked the Search Button.

After clicking the Search button, a new window will open showing only the results for the term Underwood from the USCarbineCal30.com website (red arrows below). When the window opens, note the format of the search. Instead of the term Underwood, the search box says:

Underwood site:www.uscarbinecal30.com

After the term Underwood and a space is the keyword site with a colon and http://www.uscarbinecal30.com" rel="nofollow - www.uscarbinecal30.com . This tells Google to limit the search to a specific site and it comes in handy when searching for things. More on refining Google searches can be found here:

Option 2 - Use the Carbine Collector's Club Site Search Tool.

This search tool has a basic and an advanced search. The advanced search allows users to specify Search Options like time frame and member name.

Using the available search tools, here are some of the results related to Underwood.

I am a newby, trying to begin hobby level on collecting, trying to find out truth vs fantasy , We were able to find out rough mfg dates. Want to know, how rare, not so much worth but any interesting trivia etc. My friend is not interested in selling as it was his step fathers firearm in the day and is keeping. that sort of stuff. thanks in advance.

here is the data we have:2359481. Run was July, 1943-Feb., 1944 (we think). again , we don't know how much except the serial number is true. thanks in advance.

look at the heel of receiver behind the serial number.
There should be an ordnance bomb and the letter T.
The T means it was a subcontracted receiver for Underwood made by Intertype .

Barrel should be made by Underwood and have a date.

Underwood delivered carbines late 1942 through 4-44

Some pictures would help.
Does it have an adjustable rear sight or a bayonet lug

new info today: The heel of the grip and the top of the bolt are typed with 40
yes it has the type 3 adjustable sight
It does have a bayonet lug (and I am told but have not seen it yet, the bayonet that was issued with it)

I tried to download the one good one I took
