This one got me started. Some will say 'ugly', but I like it for what it is. Bought in Nov 1968, this .U. SN 1364784 set me back $65 at a show in the VFW hall in Edwardsville, Illinois. Not much original about it; buttplate maybe.

A combination of bright blue steel, nickle plated bolt & mag, plum trig house and front sight, prettiest refinished stock ever seen ..... well, just take a look.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.   That took some work to get all those parts shining like that.  Thanks for sharing.

Certainly eye catching and I would say a fine presentation piece. The plum trigger housing is very fitting in this situation. A 180 degrees out from my gutter finds, but I am happy too.
